On A Wavelenght

lyrics

Stereo is broken so I put a record on:
Angelo Badalamenti's Twin Peaks Theme Song,
this is kinda strange because it took too long,
you said "Take me out to see the stars, come on".

Then I took the keys and I bring you on the roof,
you told me "It's my father, do you want a proof?
He's got a belt made of three stars:
Alnitak, Mintaka, Alnilam".

Keep talking about things I don't remember,
as in Woody Allen's movie, you're the "Tall Dark Stranger",
point a finger at the sky and think about old myths,
then we kissed each other's alcoholic lips.

Then the morning, then the light, nothing competes with tonight,
I think I think too much, but I know how it's like
to forget a person and to feel the pain,
and I know that we’ll never meet again.
